Practical tips
- — Sweep in a fixed path — left to right, top to bottom — so your eyes never revisit the same region.
- — Look for the boundary between groups rather than examining items one by one.
- — If nothing stands out in the first second, restart the sweep from a corner instead of scanning randomly.
