About Survive the Day
Survive the Day is a small, independent browser game about attention under pressure. Every day it hands you the same run as everyone else on the internet: 12 micro mini-games, three to fifteen seconds each, 3 lives, no second attempt until the clock rolls over at 00:00 UTC. It takes about two minutes to play and a lot longer to master.
Why we built it
Most quick games either demand an install or drown the actual game in menus, timers and upsells. We wanted the opposite: open a link, be playing within a second, and be done before your coffee cools. The daily format came from watching how people talk about word puzzles — the fun is not only the score, it is that your friend played the exact same thing and can argue about round nine.
So the run is deterministic. The sequence of mini-games, their order and their difficulty ramp are all generated from the UTC date, which means two players on opposite sides of the world see an identical gauntlet without us storing anything about either of them.
How the game is built
There are 31 mini-game types in rotation, each written specifically for this project. They test different things on purpose: raw reaction speed, short-term visual memory, impulse control, counting at a glance, colour-versus-word conflict, pattern continuation and target search. Mixing categories is what stops the run from becoming a single trained reflex — you cannot coast through it with fast fingers alone.
Scoring rewards speed and consistency: each round awards a base value scaled by the current level, plus a bonus for answering well inside the time limit, plus a streak multiplier for consecutive clean rounds. Runs that are physically implausible — faster than human reaction time across a whole gauntlet — are rejected before they reach the leaderboard.
The game runs entirely in your browser. There is no download, no account and no login. Your nickname, streak and personal bests live in your own browser storage, and only the numbers you choose to submit are sent to the leaderboard.
Original work only
Every mini-game, rule, illustration and line of copy here is our own. Survive the Day is not affiliated with, sponsored by or connected to any other game, studio or publisher, and it does not reuse anyone else's characters, artwork or interface.
How it is funded
The game is free and paid for by advertising, kept out of the play area so it never interrupts a live round. There is nothing to buy, no paid lives and no advantage available for money. Details of what advertising cookies do are in our privacy policy.
