How this round works and how it is scored
Each trial shows a waiting state for a randomised delay, then switches to GO. Your time is measured from the GO cue to your tap.
Tapping before the cue counts as a failed trial — the delay is deliberately unpredictable, so guessing is punished.
A trial you clear raises the level, which shortens the time budget in later rounds, exactly like the daily run does.
Times include your device, browser and screen latency, so they are useful for comparing your own trials over time — not as a clinical measurement or a comparison against population norms.
Practical tips
- — Rest your finger just off the target instead of hovering on it — from a resting position you react to the change rather than twitching early.
- — Look at the middle of the play area, not at your hand; peripheral motion is detected slightly faster than a focused stare.
- — Do five or six trials before judging yourself. The first one or two are always slower.
Play it inside the daily challenge
This is one of the mini-games in Survive the Day, a daily run of 12 mini-games with 3 lives. Everyone in the world plays the same sequence until it resets at 00:00 UTC. Practice here as long as you like — practice rounds never touch your daily score.
